CurrentCut — the overnight AI edit desk for factual TV
Hand over tonight's footage and go rest. By morning: a first cut whose factual lines link to the sources checked — or say why none is attached, and a record of everything held back.
Up to 12 clips, 300 MB each, 900 MB / 60 minutes in total, on a daily budget — one small shared machine on our API keys, not a limit of the pipeline. Takes over 10 minutes are split and read in parallel.
Uploads are analysed by Gemini under Google's API terms and kept only on this instance's temporary disk. Please don't upload confidential material, or people who haven't consented to being processed.
Every line points back to the timecode it came from. A number reaches a caption only when a retrieved page matched it on entity, attribute and value.
Every outbound search is recorded before it is sent and again when it returns. Raw transcripts are never sent — only keyword queries built from public claims.
In a Japanese newsroom the director writes this in Excel (テロップ原稿) and the edit house pours it into the programme's template — so the spreadsheet is what CurrentCut produces, carrying the one column a director would otherwise fill in by hand: whether each figure was checked, against what.
